Focus: Lifecycles of frogs (incl. features of amphibians), lifecycle of plants and what will happen to our environment if...?
Grade: 2-4
Duration: 1 hour
Max Numbers: 30 students per session
Lesson Highlights:
We explore a pond environment and identify some of the animals living within. We discuss features of amphibians and the definition of metamorphosis, then visit another pond where we discover the lifecycle stages of a frog.
To compare, we also visit a sunflower farm, where we can watch the lifecycle of a plant from an 'ants eye view' and identify its requirements for life.
We then have a break from VR with an all time favourite game of charades!
As a group, we will discuss how human activity can change habitats (including habitat loss). And how we can care for our environment and its future by changing our actions.
