Focus: Why different habitats require different adaptations.
Grade: 1-3, 4-6
Duration: 1 hour
Max Numbers: 30 students per session
Lesson Highlights: Students will explore & compare different habitats (such as a rainforest, rock pool & polar biome) and consider how they meet animals' needs & what might happen if these environments change.
Students will identify different adaptations used for survival by some of the animals that live in these habitats and compare them with others.
As a group, we will discuss how human activity can change habitats (including habitat loss). And how we can care for our environment and its future by changing our actions.
