Focus: Structure and function of animal cells and plant cells. Specialised cells and Mitosis.
**This lesson is a great way to consolidate after learning the basic terminology and structure of cells.

Lesson Highlights:
Students will journey INSIDE an animal cell to identify the different organelles and their functions. We then compare differences as we move into a plant cell.
We take a look at specialised cells and using a 3D holographic model, students will examine a cell and try to determine what kind it is.
Finally, we enter an animated scene of a cell undergoing mitosis, visualising the process makes it so much easier to understand!!
As always, time permitting we allow for some 'nature appreciation' time at the end of the lesson with some free choice VR videos.
