Focus: Tidal waves vs Tsunamis, Storms and Flooding.

Lesson Highlights:

We discuss the difference between Tidal waves and Tsunamis. Then we dive into a VR scene where students can visualize the formation of a tsunami.

We then discover how a storm forms, both over land and water. We also consider the effects on the community resulting from the various aspects of the storm.

Our last adventure takes us to a town being flooded. We look for causes and possible impacts of the flood then think about what measures we could take to prevent damage.

We conclude with a group discussion about monitoring and mitigation measures and how communities can be kept safe.
